Shona Halson is a Professor and Deputy Director of the Sport Performance Innovation and Knowledge Excellence (SPIKE) unit at Australian Catholic University. She previously spent over a decade at the Australian Institute of Sport as a Senior Recovery Physiologist.
Her research focuses on sleep, recovery, and fatigue in athletes, with particular expertise in evidence-based recovery interventions. She has published extensively on compression therapy, cold water immersion, sleep optimization, and recovery monitoring.
