The Electrolyte & Mineral Replenishment Strategy Closest To Human Plasma, How To "Bathe In Hydrogen", and Nasty Water Industry Myths & Truths

Boundless Life with Robert Slovak 2022-12-22

Summary

Ben Greenfield's second interview with Robert Slovak focuses on Quinton marine plasma as the electrolyte and mineral replenishment strategy closest to human blood plasma. Slovak shares his personal recovery from a severe spike protein-related myocarditis using Quinton isotonic alongside other interventions. The conversation covers how phytoplankton and zooplankton interactions in the ocean create the mineral-rich solution, Rene Quinton's historic experiments proving seawater's biocompatibility, the difference between Quinton and simple sea salt products, and why the terrain of the body's internal fluids determines health outcomes. They also discuss hydrogen water tablets, water filtration methods, and emerging energy medicine devices.

Key Points

  • Slovak recovered from severe spike protein-related myocarditis using Quinton isotonic daily to regulate his biological terrain
  • Rene Quinton's principle: "The only way life could leave the ocean was to take the ocean with it"
  • Blood plasma concentration is always 0.9g/L, matching isotonic Quinton, but typical plasma lacks the full variety of trace minerals
  • Quinton contains over 100 micronutrients including anti-fungals, RNA fragments, and DNA from the living ocean environment
  • Phytoplankton blooms can span hundreds of kilometers; Quinton is harvested from the zooplankton zone 300 feet below
  • Only two methods reliably remove all contaminant categories: distillation plus activated carbon, or reverse osmosis plus activated carbon
  • The mineral-depleted modern food supply makes supplemental trace minerals increasingly necessary
  • Quinton was standard pharmaceutical medicine in European physician desk references for most of the 20th century

Key Moments

Rene Quinton's principle that life carries the ocean within

Slovak opens with Rene Quinton's foundational insight that the only way life could have left the ocean was to take the ocean with it, and that maintaining the ocean's mineral composition in the body is essential because seawater is the only known solution of the full periodic table in the universe.

"You must respect what Rene Cantone said, because it's so simple and so brilliant. The only way life could have left the ocean was to take the ocean with it. And you did. And you're supposed to keep creating the conditions of the ocean, its composition, its balance of the periodic table of the elements, because the ocean is the only known solution of the periodic table of the elements in the known universe."

Slovak's personal recovery from myocarditis using Quinton

Slovak shares how he recovered from severe spike protein-related myocarditis that left him unable to walk 80 yards, using Quinton isotonic daily to regulate his terrain alongside grounding, red light therapy, and colostrum.

"It's interesting because that's what I like about Dr. Shade who runs that company. He uses some of the advanced delivery mechanisms, like the lipophilic delivery mechanisms. But then he's also got this knowledge of ancient Chinese medicine. And so he kind of blends that ancient stuff with some advanced delivery mechanisms. And I don't know, I feel like I really felt as though I could really push myself from a cardiovascular standpoint after using this stuff. I didn't wind up making it part of my protocol, but it's a pretty interesting supplement. When he saw me at Asprey's biohacking conferences, I joined the Quicksilver booth to talk about Kintone Marine Plasma. He goes, what have you been doing since the last time I saw you? You can actually walk fast again. And I'm going, I'm taking your performance cardio. The cardio perform. Yeah, interesting. Now, you're still using the hydrogen tablets too, right? Oh, that's a staple. That's like almost close to breathing. Okay. Did you see the study? Because I literally just tweeted it out a few days ago and I was like, oh, I'm having Robert on the podcast. I actually asked him about this. It was a hydrogen rich water study, you know, the same as you get when you have these tablets to the water. And the title was hydrogen rich water consumption positively affects muscle performance, lactate response, and alleviates delayed onset of muscle soreness after resistance training. And granted, a lot of these journalist strength conditioning studies, they're not that huge. I think this was like a dozen men or so. But really significant improvement in not only muscle function, but then reduced lactic acid formation, and then way lower onset of muscle soreness. And I don't know how far before the workout that they took this stuff, but you and I covered this last time. Unlike a lot of antioxidants like synthetic vitamin C or synthetic vitamin E, the hydrogen doesn't blunt the hormetic response to the workouts like a selective antioxidant. And so I feel like, you know, because I'm doing like a morning workout a lot of the time, that by starting off my day with this giant glass of the hydrogen, I'm probably getting some of those effects. But this is the first time I've seen a performance study like this. Have you seen that? Oh, yeah, yeah. Because you asked me to address it, and I took a deep dive into it with both Tyler and Alex, who know this business backward and forward. And they made some comments. Yes, this is very good. But, you know, even though like muscle soreness and so on is actually better in hydrogen hydrotherapy, which is a new coming direction for hydrogen."

How phytoplankton and zooplankton create Quinton's source

Slovak describes the oceanic ecology behind Quinton harvesting, explaining how zooplankton at 300 feet ascends into phytoplankton blooms spanning hundreds of kilometers at the surface, creating the mineral-rich biological matrix from which Quinton is extracted.

"Phytoplankton is on the surface in the first 100 feet, and zooplankton hangs out at 300 feet below the phytoplankton and ascends periodically into the phytoplankton and consumes it just like a cow goes out to pasture."

Quinton's complexity versus simple mineral supplements

Slovak explains that Quinton is far more complex than simple mineral supplements, containing over 100 micronutrients including natural anti-fungals, anti-bacterials, RNA fragments, and DNA from the living ocean, which are more delicate than the mineral components.

"Cantone is much more complex. So it has like 100 plus micronutrients in it. Anti-fungals, anti-bac, it's natural from the sea. So it's got this plethora of micronutrients that have many kinds of functions. It's got RNA fragments, DNA, et cetera. Very, very complex, not just the minerals."
